Layers and layers of encaustic (bees wax & damar resin), charcoal, natural fiber paper, ink, oil, gesso and crayon on 1.5" cradled wood panel.
There are occasional stray yummy wax drips on the sides which are painted a soft gray - this piece is ready to hang! There is no hanging wire - these panels easily hang with two push pins or small nails.
